Oren Elimelech is a cyber security Expert, Researcher and Consultant for security & governmental offices, financial institutions, corporations and various enterprises. Oren specializes in cyber security strategy, governance and audit, with vast experience in hand on IT related topic such as: infrastructure, communication, systems, virtualization, cloud computing and above all computerize forensics.
Following more than twenty years of IT and security experience, Oren currently serves as head of the Cyber and Information Security Manager at the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety in Israel, leading the sectarian Cyber regulative policy and governance. Additionally, Oren serves as lead adviser of Cyber and Information Security in Bank of Jerusalem and other multiple Fortune 500 companies.
Oren facilitates and leads a group of cyber security professionals from more than 20 countries meeting the cyber risks of massive transportation. Additionally, Oren takes a major part of nation level security committees and HLS bodies, including the Israel National Cyber Bureau as a cyber expert and consultant.
Oren went up the ladder with his knowledge and experience, while holding a verity of certifications such as: CISO, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CISSP, PCIP, CCFP, EnCE and many others.
As an educated professional, Oren is a lead lecturer in variety of professional colleges, schools and universities – Technion: Israel Institute of Technology, ICT-IDC: International Institute for Counter-Terrorism at IDC, Open University, military bodies, low enforcement bodies, governmental institutes, ISACA Israel, See-Security and others.
Through his work, Oren lead engagements based on the NIST Cyber Security Framework, NIST SP800 publications, ISO 27XXX information security standards family, ISACA’s COBIT family and regulations such as PCI – DSS, SOX, HIPPA, GLBA, and local and international circulars.
Oren is part of the ISACA Israel Chapter cyber security committee and the lead instructor of the CISM certification.
